Singapore FinTech Pay2Home wins the AustCham 2017 Business Excellence Award
SINGAPORE, June 2017 Home-grown FinTech Pay2Home, one of Singapore's largest remittance and money transfer providers, today won the 2017 AustCham Business Excellence Award for most outstanding performance in its field.
The accolade comes after the recent launch of its bespoke 24-hour multilingual Money Transfer Machines (MTMs) - a first for the remittance industry in Singapore - following the Monetary Authority of Singapore's (MAS) approval for Pay2Home to roll-out hundreds of MTMs to better service the migrant and expatriate communities.
The winner was announced at today's AustCham Business Awards event held in the Grand Hyatt, where Pay2Home was selected for its business significance within the cross-border payments industry, the Australia-Singapore business environment and in the region.
Pay2Home Co-founders and Directors, David Hulme and Wayne Salamonsen accepted the award, and attributed Singapore's outstanding business environment and the Government's enthusiasm to support innovation to their success.
"The winning combination of the ease of setting up and running a business in Singapore from a regulatory perspective; low tax; efficient Government support initiatives; and a solid technical and communications infrastructure; coupled with our Australian ingenuity and perseverance, has allowed us to create our special recipe for success," said Mr Salamonsen.
